Navigating a Unique 2020 Holiday Shopping Season

Let’s be honest, 2020 has been a tough, crazy year. At Cargo Largo, one way we hope to make the end of the year a little brighter, is by doing our best to provide you with a fun and safe holiday shopping experience. Things may look a little different, but we believe getting quality gifts, and saving a little money while we do it, will help us all feel a bit more normal. Here are a few of the ways we’re changing things up:

1. Extending holiday hours
Beginning Monday, October 5th, we're extending our hours to 8am - 9pm every day. The first hour will remain reserved for high-risk customers. With extra time for customers to shop in-store, people will be able to effectively distance and lines should be reduced.

2. Starting holiday deals and promotions early In addition to extending our holiday hours earlier than a typical year, we're also beginning holiday deals and promotions in October. We believe spreading out our holiday season will give you more time to get gifts crossed off your list, and encourage reduced lines and crowds on popular promotion days.

3. Doorbusters spaced throughout the day
Historically, doorbuster items are only available first thing in the morning, which can cause crowding. This year, we're still doing select doorbusters from time-to-time, but they will be stocked at various times throughout the day. So, you'll have a greater chance at not only getting great deals, but doing so in a safe environment.

4. Continuing increased sanitization
Since reopening, our team has been dedicated to increasing safety and sanitization storewide. Following guidelines set by the CDC and Jackson County Health Department, we have shields placed at every register, hand sanitizer available throughout the store, require face coverings, have removed fitting rooms, and sanitize counters, payment portals, and carts in between customers. We also have limited capacity inside the store, and have spread out our fixtures within the store to allow more space for shopping. We pledge to continue these measures throughout the busy holiday season.
We wish our family, friends, and community a wonderful holiday season, and hope to see you soon!
