New Year's Resolutions for 2021- From our Team
Like the phoenix rises from the ashes, so will we after this wild year. We're sure that, just like us, you've experienced hardships, challenges, and frustrations brought on by everything 2020 had to give. We reached out to some of our team members and asked for ideas and inspirations for New Year's Resolutions, to help make 2021 a better year!
Vonda, Retail Manager The current pandemic has brought to light my tendency to take good health and time for granted. I’m sure health – physical and mental – have been on many people’s minds. Because of this, I have promised myself to get into great physical shape and create more balance in my life overall. Joining the Cargo Largo team has been a great start 😊 Taking time for friends and family without all the busyness is definitely top priority.
John, Retail Director
In 2021, I’d like to refocus on being physically healthy. To achieve it, I’ll be consistently meal planning a balanced diet of protein, healthy carbs, and minimal added sugar. I’ll also reinstate a regular workout routine. Most importantly, the meals and workouts will be fun and tasty. I don’t buy into the myth that healthy eating and exercise are tasteless and boring!
Mark, Senior Retail Manager
Due to today’s economic and social climate, my resolution is to increase the amount of time that I spend each week volunteering to help those in need. I want to help those who have a legitimate need due to health conditions beyond their control, and assist with household maintenance and repairs for those who cannot do it for themselves. I am also going to volunteer to assist the hospital in the screening of those entering.
Kristi, Administrative Assistant
I am going to regain focus on healthy eating to boost my immune system. I'm going to try cool, new recipes for healthy soups, hot tea and green tea with antioxidants, and other dishes to stay warm this winter, while also eating healthy!
Lauren, Social Media Strategist
In 2021, I'm going to focus on improving my health, and being smarter and more strategic with my finances. Mental and physical health are both things that, for myself and so many others, took a big hit in 2020. I decided that it's time to get back to focusing on my overall health with a cleaner diet, consistent exercise, and proactive practices for dealing with stress and anxiety. For my finances, I've developed a budget spreadsheet that will help me accomplish my goals for the coming year. I feel prepared and excited about the changes I'm making for this new year, and I'm looking forward to what is to come!
We hope that some of our team's resolutions inspired or encouraged you. We want to thank all our loyal team members and customers who supported us during these crazy times. We wish you all a very happy New Year, and look forward to seeing you in 2021!
